How to become
A Christian
WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?
Hear the Word of God
Acts 3:22-23 (nasb95)
22 Moses said, ‘THE LORD GOD WILL RAISE UP FOR YOU A PROPHET LIKE ME FROM YOUR BRETHREN; TO HIM YOU SHALL GIVE HEED to everything He says to you.
23 And it will be that every soul that does not heed that prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’
John 8:32 (nasb95)
32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
Romans 10:14-16 (nasb95)
14 How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?
15 How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!”
16 However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, “LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?”
Believe and Obey
John 14:6 (nasb95)
6 Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
Hebrews 11:6 (nasb95)
6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

24 Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.
Repent (change)
Luke 13:3-5 (nasb95)
3 I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. 4 Or do you suppose that those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them were worse culprits than all the men who live in Jerusalem?
5 I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish
Acts 17:30-31 (nasb95)
30 Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, 31 because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.
Acts 3:19 (nasb95)
19 Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;
Confess Christ Before Men
Matthew 10:32 (nasb95)
32 “Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven.

Be Baptized Into Christ
Acts 2:38 (nasb95)
38 Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 6:1-4 (nasb95)
1 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase?
2 May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?
3 Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?
4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
Galatians 3:26-27 (nasb95)
26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ
.
Ephesians 1:7 (nasb95)
7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.
NOW THAT I AM A CHRISTIAN, WHAT DOES GOD EXPECT OF ME?

Bring Forth Fruit to God
John 15: 1-8 (nasb95)
1 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.
3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.
5 I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned.
7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
8 My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.
Walk Worthily of God
Colossians 1: 10-14 (nasb95)
10 so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
